Directed by Sean Baker, "Anora" tells the compelling story of a New York sex worker who marries the son of a Russian oligarch. The film's modest $6 million budget did not hinder its success; it grossed over $40 million globally and received critical acclaim for its authentic storytelling and performances.

Sean Baker made history by winning four individual Oscars in one night—Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Film Editing, and Best Picture—matching the record previously set by Walt Disney in 1953.

Mikey Madison, who portrayed the titular character, won Best Actress, marking a significant milestone in her career.

The ceremony also honored Adrien Brody with Best Actor for his role in "The Brutalist," while Zoe Saldaña and Kieran Culkin received Best Supporting Actress and Actor awards for their performances in "Emilia Pérez" and "A Real Pain," respectively.

Hosted by Conan O'Brien, the event featured tributes to cinematic icons and included political messages from attendees, reflecting the industry's engagement with current global issues.

"Anora's" triumph at the Oscars underscores the impact of independent filmmaking and highlights the importance of diverse storytelling in cinema.
